1. ORGANIZING AUTHORITY

The host and organizing authority (OA) if the Privateer Yacht Club, Chattanooga, TN.

2. RULES
   1. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing.
   2. RRS Appendix P will not apply.
   3. RRS 35 will be changed to provide those boats not finishing within 30 minutes after the first boat finished will be scored “TLE - Time Limit Exceeded” without a hearing.

3. ADVERTISING

This event is governed by Category A (advertising is not allowed).

4. ENTRY AND ELEGIBILITY

This regatta is open to any sailing auxiliary vessel having a PHRF number and displacement greater than 700 lbs.

5. FEES
   1. Entry for the regatta is $10.00/boat.
   2. Saturday Social dinner and beverages are available separately for $15.00/adult and $7.00/kids under 11

Saturday October 29  

1000-1100       Registration/Check-in Desk Open

1115                Competitors Meeting

1230                 First Warning signal; additional races to follow

1730                Social hour followed by dinner at PYC

Sunday October 30   

1100                First warning; additional races may follow

After races        Hot dog and Chili lunch

7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Sailing Instructions will be available at check-in.

8. VENUE

Racing will take place on Chickamauga Lake in the vicinity of Privateer Yacht Club.

9. SCORING

The Low Point Scoring System, RRS Appendix A will apply. All race scores will count.

10. INSURANCE

Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance.

11. RADIO COMMUNICATION

The race committee will communicate on and monitor VHF radio channel 69 and will “attempt” to hail competitors that are “OCS” via VHF radio. Any communications by the RC are for convenience to the competitors and in no way replace the RRS.

12. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk (see Rule 4 – Decision to Race). The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury, or death sustained in conjunction with, prior to during, or after the regatta.

13. PRIZES

Privateer Yacht Club will award prizes to the first three boats in two divisions.

• Division A - PYC PHRF rating 180 and lower
• Division B - PYC PHRF rating greater than 180

14. LODGING

Camping on the club grounds are allowed and idyllic. Hotels near the club in Hixson TN, include Hampton Inn, Country Inn & Suites, and Quality Inn.
